Theo wins 2010 World Champion Pizza Maker title at the Las
Vegas Pizza Show – Theo Kalogeracos continues to wow the world with his extraordinary culinary talent – taking out the title of 2010 World Champion Pizza Maker at the International Pizza Challenge in Las Vegas last week. The World Champion Pizza Maker contest consisted of a blind bake‐off between the first and second place getters of the events Traditional and Non‐Traditional pizza competition categories.

Theo was the winner of the Non‐Traditional category, impressing the judges with his desert pizza "Strawberry Fields" – creating history with the first desert pizza to win the category. In competing for the overall title, the four finalists were shown a black box, which contained a range of ingredients from which they could select. The common theme of the pizza had to be chicken, but they could then choose whatever else they wanted to use from the black box.

From the time they were first shown the ingredients, they had approximately 20 minutes to prepare, bake and serve their pizza creation to the judges. Theos winning creation included chicken, pesto, onions, mushrooms, mozzarella, smoked mozzarella, roasted pine nuts and shaved parmesan. Theo was crowned the 2010 World Champion Pizza Maker ahead of approximately 50 competitors who gathered from countries around the world, representing Italy, France, USA, UK and Canada.
